Filters are a very polarizing subject in the pipe community. Do they dull the taste? Yes, I have to admit they do. However, they do also cool the smoke, dull the nicotine, and filter out a lot of the tar and other nastiness. These are the only filters that I have been able to use reliably in all my cobs that accept filters. I 100% prefer them to an unfiltered cob, but not all can take them, and that’s okay! Having a nice array of different options is important.
