The Diplomat 5th Avenue Corn Cob Pipe from Missouri Meerschaum stands among our most popular designs in our larger, filtered pipes. The tall, cylindrical bowl and handsome profile are perfect for those desiring a slightly longer than normal smoke time.
The Diplomat 5th Avenue is a consistent performer and a favorite in our office! This pipe accommodates a 6 mm filter and has a genuine hardwood insert in the bottom of the bowl.
It is available as a straight or bent bit, and is included in our family of 2-Pipe Gift Sets.
Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won’t in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. The chips only add to the charm and character of your corn cob pipe. Enjoy!

The 5th Avenue Diplomat is my Favorite Pipe! It’s got a generous sized bowl and it fits nicely in my hand. I also have Country Gentleman, and that is an excellent pipe, too. However the C.G.’s bowl is slightly rounded, whereas the 5th Ave. Diplomat is more straight in sized. It’s got nice thick walls. It smokes cool & dry. It just feels great and it delivers a great smoke, too. Ten Stars & Three Thumbs Up!

Great Pipe for Years of Use
This is a great pipe for a nice relaxing smoke. I have had mine for 8 years, and other than some coloring on the top and a darkening of the cob, it still looks new. It has a deep chamber, thick walls, and a hardwood plug that with proper care, will give you many years of use. Not bad for the price.

Great pipe for the money
Wonderful pipe for the money. Thick walls, comforts me to hold, provides a long and cool smoke. The only very minor concern is the excess amount of (nontoxic and safe) glue along the wood inset at the bottom of the chamber. A bit of cleaning and scraping remove that – and once done, you have a fantastic smoker.

Excellent!
Being British, prices fluctuate incredibly if purchased here, but a reliable, decent outlet make these very cost effective.I have block meers, briars of high quality, but always enjoy my cobs, light, dry smoking, and all round first class smokers. If I’m completely truthful, these compare favourably with ANY pipe,no matter the price.I watched a video on the making of them, and it’s a simple process, traditional—I like that, too.

5th ave. Diplomat
The best pipe to smoke IMO! Customized with a furniture scratch repair marker and it looks like real wood. Love the cool long smoke as well. Smokes better then my Petersons

Great balance of light weight and available volume.
Thick walls, a hardwood bottom, a tall chamber, and light weight compared to pipes made of other materials make this a great clencher, even when you want a longer smoke.

Great everyday pipe!
I love this pipe and smokes just as good as any briar that costs 4 times the money.

Need another.
My wife bought a 5th Ave. Diplomat 10 years ago. It was my first corn cob pipe and I immediately fell in love with how well (and how long) it smoked. I think it’s time to get another for back up. I also highly recommend the Great Dane Spool.

My favorite
Good for an end of day, half hour or better smoke. I tend to smoke a bit too fast and the thicker walls really keep the pipe comfortable to hold.
