The Freehand Corn Cob Pipe from Missouri Meerschaum is a work of art!

The deep, conical-shaped bowl is available in three finishes – rusticated dark stain, natural red cob, or natural white cob.

Its Italian acrylic bit gives this pipe a unique and distinctive appearance. Like our other premium pipes, the Freehand has a genuine hardwood insert in the bottom of the bowl.

This pipe also serves as a memorable gift to discerning pipe collectors. As a collectible, the dark stain coated finish is also available on a Missouri Red Cedar plaque!

    An impressive pipe

I recently received the dark stain Freehand as a gift, and it is very impressive. Its size alone makes it very unique, and having a rough cut top and smooth finish makes it one great looking pipe. The acrylic stem was the right choice for such a monster in both appearance and resistance to the teeth. Once broken, it smokes as good as it looks and it smokes for a long time. The bowl fits comfortably in the hand, and the pipe isn’t overly heavy considering its size, so clenching isnt a problem either. This is more than just a sitter, it’s a great all day pipe and it is absolutely perfect for those long smokes next to the fire. As always, Missouri Meerschaum has created the perfect balance between function, fit and unique look.

    Greatest American pipe

My favorite pipe for lighter aromatic blends.

    Unmatched

I don’t remember when it was that I first saw the freehand, but I bought the first one I saw. I still have it and smoke it daily, along with the other 4 or 5 that I have acquired since. I own briars, Meerschaums, even a real meerschaum-bowl calabash. Nothing comes close (except my MacArthurs) for coolness and dryness. I recently filled up a high-end briar, just to see. Didn’t finish the bowl and got a cob instead. I’m a daily smoker of fine tobacco and really only smoke cobs. Period.

    Where’s my rocker?

One of my most comfortable long smokers. The forward weight of the pipe keeps my rocker going like a pendulum. Just one push, just one light. Bourbon, please and thank you.

    Awesome

I’m a big fan of the MM corncob I own Country Gents, a Freehand, Diplomats, and a Legend. Stopped by because I just placed and order. I would like to see CG.s and Diplomats available in natural unfinished. Also I put a MM standard Danish filter bit on the Freehand I own and like it alot better with no filter of course. It provides a better draw and never needs a pipe cleaner.

    It’s become my favorite pipe

The MM freehand is, by far, my favorite pipe and I always get wonderful comments about how nice it looks when I’m out smoking it. It smokes better than most of my expensive briars and I currently have four of them so I can smoke at least one each day in a rotation. I would recommend this pipe to all pipe smokers as it feels excellent in your hand and yet, is still light enough so it doesn’t give one “jaw fatigue”.

    LOVE this pipe!

I’ve bought several M.M. pipes but the Freehand is my all time favorite. Great feel in your hand, nice big bowl, great bit. It’s not heavy and smokes perfectly. I highly recommend it.

my second review of this pipe

I chose to review this pipe again because I’ve tried about all of the MM pipes now and although I really am impressed with all of my cob pipes, this one is by far the best. I do have the plastered freehand too, but I like the natural better. it’s a much cooler smoke. not only is a cooler smoke better feeling in your mouth, but the tobacco tastes better too. I’ve always liked how the plastered pipes look, but over time, my natural bowels have become my favorite. this natural freehand is the perfect combination that I reserve for my most relaxing days.

    i love this pipe

I just got mine in mail, (very fast delivery, thanks) and had to smoke it right away. it has impressive thick walls and a nice deep bowl. it smoked as well as I hoped it would. it stays lit with no effort and provides a nice cool smoke. i’m always impressed with my cob pipes from Missouri and this no exception. there’s no need to spend more money on another pipe. this is my favorite and I will definitely buy more. thanks Missouri. keep up the good work!

    My favorite

This pipe is simply outstanding. It is beautiful and provides a satisfying, cool smoke. Obviously, since it has a large bowl, it also provides a long smoke. It feels excellent in the hand. This is hands down my favorite pipe. I will definitely be getting more of these.
