The #1 Release, 155th Special Edition features a cottonwood burnish technique from our past.  This technique was used to color the cobs before color stains were available. This technique gives the bowls a unique look that will darken to rich caramel tones with age.

This hand-turned and cottonwood burnished bowl is accented by a long, slim shank with MMC 155th lasered engraved and capped by a thick brass ferrule and handsome acrylic Italian Red Tortoise bit.

Each #1 Release, 155th Special Edition is a limited edition and comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

#426. This pipe is beautiful and smokes great. I’m very pleased.

a pipe worth the price! It’s probably one of the largest bowls in this shape for MM and the coloration and texture of the cob itself is beautiful and smooth.

I gave it 3 bowls and the carbon cake is forming almost perfectly. The bowl is super easy to clean (I just used an aluminum pipe nail). The best method for cleaning/sweetening before use has been a nice bourbon and a pipe cleaner (nothing that will break apart while cleaning of course) and it makes the smoking session that much more enjoyable.

I’m customer number 73 of the 155th anniversary special edition pipe and I gotta say the cottonwood burnish technique is a beautiful way to color your pipes. I love this company and I hope you continue to make pipes for another 155 years or longer.

This company’s hard work and survival gives me another reason to be proud of our country. Let’s continue to be the best! Thank you Missouri Meershcaum Company!
