The Carolina Gent Corn Cob Pipe is the result of a collaboration between Missouri Meerschaum Company and the legendary blending house, Cornell & Diehl. This pipe is part of a series between these two storied companies.

This chubby, yet handsome pipe of modest length features a generous bowl accompanied by a red Italian acrylic stem, nickel band, black stain, and a hardwood plug in the bottom of the bowl.

Its ideal pairing would be with your favorite Cornell & Diehl blend of tobacco! The Carolina Gent would fit in just as well on a camping trip as it would on a golf outing.

Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won’t in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. The chips only add to the charm and character of your corn cob pipe. Enjoy!

This pipe became an instant favourite. It’s so easy to clench, I could smoke it constantly the whole day, every day. It’s my most comfortable pipe – it’s a sitter, has acrylic bit, hardwood insert, short stem/shank, saddle stem, and very nicely shaped mouthpiece, perfectly proportioned chamber/bowl. I think I’ll have to order a second one soon.

This has become one of my favorite pipes, not just my favorite cob, but one of my favorite pipes regardless of material (briar, cob, etc.). The bowl is just about the perfect size for my preferred length of smoke, and the the overall length is about perfect for clenching. After trying some of the more basic MM cobs, I’ve found that the nicer versions with hardwood plugs and especially the ones with acrylic bits are worth every penny. I’ve noticed that my briars are sitting unused lately because I’m always reaching for one of my cobs, they just smoke so nice, cool and dry. I hope MM keeps coming out with more cobs featuring acrylic bits.

This is an awesome nosewarmer style pipe, and it’s quality American craftsmanship. I bought one when they first came out. It’s a small pipe length-wise, but it feels like a big pipe in your hand; it’s very substantial for a nosewarmer. There’s a nice and even coat of lacquer on the outside of the bowl, protecting it for years to come. The coolest part is the red acrylic stem, and I’m very glad to see MM now offering more pipes with acrylic stems. Although it is a little bit heavy to clench for a long period of time, its small length helps to balance it out. I thought it might smoke a bit hot because of its short design, but it’s fine. The large, thick-walled bowl absorbs a lot of moisture too. Generally I don’t buy nosewarmers, but when I want a small pipe with a generously-sized chamber, I always reach for this one. It’s a wonderful pipe for when you’re on the go and want to smoke a large bowl that you don’t need to fuss with. Keep up the good work MM!

    Instant Classic

This pipe is an instant classic in my opinion. I currently own two. Well done guys!! I don’t know if it’s my phone but the acrylic bit looks too red in the photo, it’s actually more of a darker red in person, almost maroon. Very nice. Plus it fits like a glove in your hand.

The best value in pipe smoking.

This is a premium product. I just peterson system pipe and man oh man, now I wish I had purchased a couple of these and a couple Charles Towne Cobblers instead. It feels so solid in your hand. The bit is perfectly made and the bowl just feels so much nicer than a briar pipe in the hand. Thank you MM and C&D for creating this little masterpiece, may it always be in production.

    Awesome

Everything is great with this pipe except for all the glue I had to dig out. Smoking glue as a kid might have been a good idea but as of now, only tobacco. The other thing is the stem. It doesn’t go in all the way. As if the hole is just barely not deep enough. About a millimeter of the input portion of the stem shaft???? Shows. No big deal but it does distract from the look of the pipe. Island while smoking it’s just right there. I can’t help but notice it. Overall great pipe. I’d buy it again.

    Just about perfect

I received mine today. Ijust finished my first bowl with it, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The bowl size is perfect. It’s close to, but a little less stout than, my Charles Towne Cobbler. They both have nice thick walls, like the Country Gentleman.
The fit, finish, and quality of components are the finest I’ve seen in a MM product.
Smoked a bowl of flake out of the box, and it performed like a champ. The saddle bit fits my teeth perfectly and, despite its hefty bowl size, clenches effortlessly. An amazing value, highly recommended.

    Very nice smoker

This is a great little pipe. Smokes wonderful and fits great in the pocket. The stem is so much nicer than the stems on my other Missouri meerschuam pipes. It makes this pipe much easier to clench. The bowl is a great size and feels great in the hand.

Overall this pipe is terrific and smokes just as good as my many more expensive briars.if I lost it or broke it I would definitely buy it again.

    Awesome cob

I also have several MM cobs. I prefer non-filtered pipes and this Carolina Gent might be my favorite. The bit is high quality and the craftsmanship is superb. Well balanced clencher.

    A Near Perfect Cob?

This small, but not too small Cob Pipe is very well made. I love the Red Acrylic Saddle Stem which should last a very long time. No regular plastic stem here. AND as expected, it delivers a very nice Cob Smoke. I’m enjoying mine with Peterson Irish Oak Tobacco Blend.

The Pipe wears proudly a Missouri Meerschaum/Cornell & Diehl Sticker on the bottom of its hardwood plug. Also, the hardwood shank is perfectly glued with no spill over at all.

This Carolina Gent may cost more, but its value is even higher than its cost.

    Great Workhorse

I own 10-12 pipes including 2 other cobs (5th Ave. and General). All are saddle bits as I clench. I also prefer acrylic bits. This pipe is lightweight, easy to clench and has a huge bowl. The bit is a narrow width making it even easier to clench. This pipe is unfiltered but smokes just as easily as my pipes that can fit a filter. Great value.
