The Merrick Cob Poker is in it to win it!

From playing blackjack to enjoying the great outdoors this lightweight poker was built to last. With its rustic stain, medium bowl, hardwood insert and Italian acrylic bit the Merrick Cob Poker is a must have.

Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won’t in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. The chips only add to the charm and character of your corn cob pipe. Enjoy!

My daughter gave this pipe to me for Christmas since she knew how much I loved my Charles Towne Cobbler from Missouri Meerschaum. The Merrick Poker is not quite as fancy looking as the Cobbler, but it’s rustic good looks and flawless draw has caused this pipe to win my favor hands down. It is a well balanced, well made, fine smoking little pipe, and the curved acrylic bit makes it look very classy. My tobacco seems to taste much better when smoking the Merrick. I highly recommend this pipe!

To be honest this is the first poker I have owned and I love love love it. I own over 40 pipes with six well now seven cobs in the mix. I actually like my cobs better than most of my briars because I personally think that the tobacco tastes better in a cob and you don’t have to let it rest long as they dry quickly. Six of them are Country Gentleman with special twist stems in different colors made by the master JM Boswell one of the best Artisan pipe makers today. Anyway, back to the poker. First the color stain they use tends to make the pipe a bit more classy as well as different. You really don’t seem cobs this color much if at all. Second the draw is wonderful. It’s wide open and flows smooth with no gurgling and thirdly the weight and feel of the pipe is just great. I love holding it in either hand and enjoy clamping down on the bit lightly with my teeth when I need my hands to work. I also like bend of the stem and the flat bottom of the bowl so you can put it down anywhere. Now I need to buy a briar poker or two just to see how I like them compared to the cob poker. I bought this pipe one week ago. It is a special edition and they are sold out already. For your guys sake I hope they come back soon and if and when they do, JUMP ON IT. You will be so happy you did.
