Dwarf Cobbit Corn Cob Pipe

$34.29

(17 customer reviews)

The Dwarf Cobbit Corn Cob Pipe is the smallest in the Missouri Meerschaum Cobbit Collection of churchwarden style pipes. It is a mini-churchwarden, short and round, yet powerful in appearance – a tribute to those sturdy little fellas referred to in Tolkien’s works.

Like all pipes in the Cobbit Collection, the bowl has a dark stain added to the coating, a genuine, hardwood insert in the bottom, and an acrylic bit.

The Dwarf is a pipe designed for those times when you have minutes – not hours – to enjoy a bowl of your favorite leaf, or when the task before you requires a pipe you can clench in your teeth while working with both hands.

The Dwarf is also available as one of 3 pipes in Missouri Meerschaum’s Cobbit Collection Gift Set.

See Product Description below for more details.

Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won’t in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. The chips only add to the charm and character of your corn cob pipe. Enjoy!

Yes to the dwarf. I’ve smoked it for about two weeks maybe, and this is my take. The stem hole is small so it’s a tight draw, even with nothing in it. My pipe tool alone was enough to open it up a bit. Feels good in my hand. Good for a shorter smoke, which is exactly why I bought it. Gurgled a lot in the beginning but now not so much. Perfect for a quickie before work. Very enjoyable.

Everything about this pipe is perfect except the stem hole is small and the tiniest bit of moisture will cause gurgling. My Twain pipe has a wider hole and never gurgles, and I wish this was the same. Still, it’s a great smoker and it’s good for the times you don’t want a forty minute smoke.

    A fine surprise

quite a long smoke for such a relatively small bowl. And no demanding wizards appeared. Highly recommended.

Gonna go far with this one

I’ve had an MM cob that has been with me on many adventures and traveled many many miles, seen many sunrises and sunsets far away from things one needs to escape from every once in awhile. It’s been around just short of 10 years, my son actually calls it ” the adventure pipe,” because he knows when it comes out, I’m heading out. I recently restored it, ( as best I could, and it’s still a great smoker, it just needed alittle TLC), and I needed a replacement for my favorite MM cob. This is definitely it. It’s going to go many places, and seems to have the quality to hold up for a decade of hard, steady use like the last one. Thanks MM for building quality.

    Legendary Smoker

I smoke Gawith flakes a slow burning English Lakeland tobacco, I smoke this for all of 50 min. in a dwarf cobbit as cool and dry as my best brier pipes. This little Churchwarden pipe is an American Classic smoker, I would give it my highest recommendation

    6 out of 5 stars

Avid pipe smoker here : Stanwell, Salvinelli. Dr Grabow, etc. so glad to join the cult of cobbers …My dwarf and elf cobbit was purchased elsewhere since MM was out of stock but can’t say enough about the product. Cool smoking right out of the gate. Will purchase another (Charles Towne cobbler) since the ones I now have will get plenty of play…Well done Missouri Meerschaum!

    Great pipe

Perfect pipe for a 20-25 min smoke, the pipe has a great looking finish and makes me feel like a character right out of the book!

My favorite … So I bought two more

I’ll admit I’m a novice with a little less than a year’s experience smoking pipes, but this baby is my favorite by a country mile. I have a couple of briars and a bag of MM seconds, but the Dwarf outshines them all. I just bought two more so I can put them in rotation. My first Dwarf is still in great shape, but it needs to be able to rest from day to day.

    Small Churchwarden

I have to say that this pipe is my favorite pipe. I noticed that Melanie said she had problems with moisture and gurgling in the stem. This is a problem but I keep some pipe cleaners handy and I swab it occasionally and that takes care of the problem. I love the style and it is just the right size.

    Love this little churchwarden

I bought this on a whim. So glad That I have this in my collection. It’s just perfect for a quick smoke when you don’t have all the time to rest and relax.

    My Favorite

I guessed wrong… This IS my Favorite.
It is small enough for a quick smoke.
It really is a pot type pipe with a stem that is just right.
Luckily, the one i got had a large enough bowl so it is cool to the fingers with a bore big for good packing.
Because of its design and low shape it sits flat and doesn’t tip over. GREAT PIPE

    Dwarf Cobbit

This is really a great smoking, small size pipe. I wish THIS was my first pipe. I’ve only been smoking about 6 months, but I’ve learned once the cobs are smoked 3 or 4 times, it’s a very good smoke. I have a very nice briar that I enjoy also but the bowl is significantly bigger, and there is something about a short smoke that is more enjoyable in a small bowl compare to smoking the bottom of a larger bowl. I have the mizzio and the morgan, which are great cobs also, but no hardwood bottom nor option for longer stem. (It would be great if MM offered a longer amber stem for their pipes) I need the longer stem. My mouth is sensitive to any warm smoke esp. when getting to the bottom of the bowl. THANK YOU MM for your quality and options in these perfectly priced products. Look forward to future offerings. Will buy again!

    Decent little pipe

I like this pipe but not as much as my Country Gentleman. Good for a cool short smoke which I never have time to smoke for a real long time being the mom of 3 kids. I do wish it had a filter because of taste in the stem and gurgling but I like the way it smokes. The stem is a bit hard to get out to clean but not too bad. My cob had 3 pitted areas along the outside of the rim I personally don’t mind; it gives it character. The bowl wall is nice and thick. My kids like the way this one looks because of the Hobbit.
