Belle Starr Corn Cob Pipe

(6 customer reviews)

The Belle Starr Corn Cob Pipe was inspired by the shape of a horse’s hoof and features a wide nickel band. Comfortable in the hand, the Belle Starr has its own unique label and is branded on the side of the bowl with the Outlaw Series Bandit.

Crow Valley Pipe Company and Missouri Meerschaum Company collaborated on the Outlaw Series of Corn Cob Pipes as part of our popular family of nose warmer style pipes.

Belle Starr was a notorious outlaw who associated with the James-Younger gang. She was convicted of horse theft in 1883 and mysteriously shot in what is still an unsolved murder in 1889.

This pipe, like all the pipes in the Outlaw Series, has a genuine hardwood insert in the bottom of the bowl and is only available as a straight, non-filtered pipe.

Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won’t in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. The chips only add to the charm and character of your corn cob pipe. Enjoy!

    Chomping at the Bit

I’ve been chomping at the bit to write this review. The Belle Starr is my favorite from this series. You gotta love hand made pipes!! Thanks from New York City.

I love the fact that this pipe is a sitter. It’s great for having a puff while playing cards or dominoes. It’s well made, looks cool, and smokes great to boot! I bought two, and I love ’em. I’ll probably pick up another one in the near future.

Cool little pipe. Cant beat the price

I really dig this pipe. It is one of my truck pipes. The quality of the bowl exceeds the price paid. It feels like a briar in the hand. It can get a little hot, but that is probably my fault. I have customized it slightly by removing the shank extension inside the chamber, and using pipe mud to bring the bottom of the chamber up to level with the draft hole. My only criticism of this pipe is the stem. I wish the bit was larger and more substantial. I would prefer to clinch a wider, thicker bit. I have a couple MM pipes with this size of bit, so I would love to see MM offer upgraded, larger bits as replacements for this size shank. That small critique aside, this is a great pipe.

    Perfect Truck Pipe

I ordered the Belle Starr specifically to keep in my truck. The length is convenient for clenching while driving, and the bowl provides enough volume so I can relax and enjoy the smoke while commuting—especially when traffic is stopping more than going.
The black-stained bowl looks great in person, and the “outlaw” logo is a nice touch.
Plus it sits on the dash if necessary while stopped at a light.
All this in an American-made pipe!

    Love it

I have 18 MM pipes and I love every single one of them. This pipe is quickly becoming my favorite pipe which the Morgan has been for over a year now. I love how this pipe sits when not in use. Smokes cool and looks awesome. Great pipe!

Excellent. Not just for the price but truly top quality pipes

Received this as a gift and it is amazing. I have mostly Cobs now and hardly ever touch Briar (Although I have quite a few nice ones). Smokes very well, cool, dry and the bowl is the perfect size. It is lightweight and can be smoked during an activity. Does get a little warm with aromatics but that is probably the quality of the Baccy more than a poor pipe. All around for $15 this performs just as well as my $150 meerschaum pipe. Get a Cob, you will never want anything else
