Each year, we look forward to that Spring day when we can plant our hybrid pipecorn seed that will result in the large corn cobs that we need to make our authentic and original Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob Pipes.

This year, the planting started on April 22nd and was finished the next day, April 23rd. This was 3 weeks earlier than last year and should give our corn a head start on developing the type of cobs that we need for our corn cob pipes. Hopefully, the early planting will allow us to harvest earlier in the fall.

Here is a link to a video from our fields made on April 23rd. The audio is poor due to the wind that day. We will update you on the progress of this year’s corn crop as the growing season unfolds.
