We invite you, your family, and friends to visit our Museum and learn about 150+ years of the history of cool-smoking corn cob pipes and Missouri Meerschaum Company’s important role in all of it!
Step into the past when you walk into our recently expanded Museum located at the corner of Front and Cedar Streets overlooking the Missouri River in lovely Washington, Missouri!
Relax in one of our comfortable rocking chairs, and maybe even give Cob the Cat’s ears a friendly scratch before or after you check out our historical displays and shop for a cob pipe, cob wear, or our other cool stuff!
You’ll see history come alive right before your eyes in our one-of-a-kind collection of correspondence and documents highlighting famous US military and literary personalities who used and enjoyed our pipes.
Our friendly museum guide, Eli, will share the unique story of how corn cob pipes came to be manufactured over 150 years ago in Washington, Missouri, by local resident Henry Tibbe.
Eli will also point out the various historical items in the Museum and their importance to Missouri Meerschaum’s success.
And he will tell you how Missouri Meerschaum continued to thrive – even during hard times – since 1869.
