Charles Hester
My name is Charles Richard Hester. I have been a pipe smoker for about 27 years now. When I was a young man at 18, the US Army was kind enough to give me employment and 21 years later was kind enough to let me go. A few months after I retired I walked into a old tobacco shop in St. Charles, Missouri, by the name of John Dengler and on the shelf were a few old pipe kits. I thought I’d try my hand at it, so I bought a couple and made two of the ugliest pipes to date, it did however put a fire under my seat and I kept trying. I have been blessed with meeting wonderful people who have given me great advise and little tips of the trade that has been invaluable to me, I thank them all for without them I would not be here today. To everyone who has a Hester pipe I always like to leave them with my little prayer; I pray you have many, many years of sweet smokes with it, God bless and thank you for choosing my pipes.
