Brandon Smithley is an American pipe maker based just outside St. Louis, MO. With a background in both the military and law enforcement, Brandon dedicated 14 years to service before transitioning into gunsmithing—an art he first explored during a high school apprenticeship.

His passion for pipe making was sparked by fond childhood memories of his great-grandfather and the sweet aroma of classic codger blends. In 2022 he picked up a pipe and quickly became immersed in the craft. He began restoring vintage pipes found in antique shops and online, refining his skills along the way.

Brandon connected with seasoned pipe maker Charles Hester, who generously shared his expertise and further fueled Brandon’s dedication to the craft. Today he creates high-quality handmade pipes with a deep respect for tradition.

When he’s not in his workshop, Brandon can be found in a deer stand, a duck blind, or spending time with his family.
