No good reason to pay more for a pipe! Review by dennis

I've been smoking MM pipes for several years, without complaint. Recently I purchased some, I assume, expensive pipes at an estate auction, a Dunhill, Peterson's, and Savinelli. Admittedly, I'm probably not considered a pipe smoking connoisseur, but after smoking the estate auction pipes, I'm still looking for a reason to purchase any pipe other than a good MM. Maybe the next time I wear my suit, other than a funeral, I'll stick the Dunhill in my mouth, any other time, I'll be happier with my MM Country Gentlemen. (Posted on 10/4/2017)

The Best of Missouri Meerschaum! Review by Brandon from Cape Cod

The Country Gentleman is a wonderful pipe, it has great aesthetics, smokes wonderfully, accepts filters (mine came with one), and its priced so reasonably to boot. The finish on this pipe is just beautiful, and I think even pipe collectors would agree with me on that. The Country Gentleman's large bowl is great for longer smokes, and although it gets warm it hasn't got screaming-hot on me yet. Finally, the pipe came with a filter which I ended up really liking (in fact I just bought a box of 'em). I rate this pipe 5 stars across the board; no complaints whatsoever!

Though I planned on buying a Freehand with the finish like this one's anyhow, reviewer "Jefferey/JD" recommended in his review to buy a Danish bit for this pipe because he said it enhances the pipe even more; effectively making a pipe similar to the Freehand. I just may follow that advise!

Whether you're a town mouse or a country mouse, the Country Gentleman will suit you. Grab one--you won't regret the purchase! (Posted on 6/22/2017)

I have smoked pipes since 1983 and the only corn cobs I ever tried were in the eighties and nineties and were the cheap, price and quality, pipes from the basket at the tobacco shop and from some hand rigged display peg board in some general store/ restaurant in the mountains of Pennsylvania. All of those cobs self destructed in one manner or another after a smoke or two and I swore never to buy a cob again.Fast forward to 2016 where I keep hearing pipe smokers on forums praising MM cobs and stating there is no better pipe. I then asked those "cob guys" why my cobs broke apart if I put one in the cup holder and closed the car door too fast and after the cyber laughing died down I was informed that I did not have a "Missouri Meerschaum" cob but rather some junk import pipe. After looking at the "Country Gentleman" in catalogues for over a year I decided to add one to my last tobacco order and what a surprise! The pipe was a thing of beauty! Well made, well balanced, great finish and perfect fit for my hand! I showed my wife the pipe and when someone not easily impressed like she is marvels at the pipe,I know it is a winner!
I now have a new favorite pipe and see more of them in my future. My only regret is I waited so many years to try one!

The Country Gent is my all time favorite COB and often my favorite pipe - period! I use it with its original bent stem or substitute a Freehand bit and just get lost enjoying a bowl of billowing blessing! It is perfect size bowl for a leisurely excursion or meditation. I try to give myself 45 min to an hour to enjoy her to the bottom. Great design, pleasant to look at and hand feel. Just love this pipe. (Posted on 3/7/2017)
